This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by CSP Frank Mba, Deputy Force Public Relations Officer.
Four of the commissioners are in charge of state commands: Lawal Tanko, (Borno); Ibrahim Ahmed, (Zamfara); Hilary Okpara, (Bayelsa), and Maigari Dikko, (Ebonyi).
The statement urged the affected commissioners to step up the fight against all forms of criminality in their new commands and formations.
It advised them to leverage on the cordial relationship among sister security agencies in their beats to ensure that criminal activities were reduced to the barest minimum.
The IGP, however, told the commissioners to ensure that officers and men under their supervision were mindful of the rights of the citizenry.
“All postings are with immediate effect,” the statement said.
In a similar development, the IG ordered six Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and 13 Commissioners of Police from various commands to proceed on a Leadership and Strategic Management Course.
The five-day course will take place at the Centre for Management Development, Shangisha, Lagos.
The IG said that the course, billed for August 19 to 23, would equip the officers with requisite leadership and managerial skills necessary to drive the vision and mission of the current police management.
